About AimeeĀ

Aimee Gallo is a Certified Nutritionist specializing in functional medicine and fitness. She has had a passion for nutrition for over 20 years and has recognized the importance of exercise in maintaining health for nearly as long.

Aimee’s interest in nutrition began at a very young age, and by age 15, she knew that nutrition and fitness was her passion and calling. Through her studies she came to understand that there was a definite link between what one puts in one’s body and how that body responds, and felt an urgent calling to receive the kind of education that was necessary to help people in search of wellness discover this for themselves.

Aimee received her personal trainer education through the University of Alaska and became nationally recognized through the American Council of Exercise. Certified since 2001, she has developed a focus working with those who are new to exercise or returning from a lengthy hiatus. She takes great pleasure in assisting people in finding joy through movement and functional strength.

Aimee went on to receive her undergraduate degree in Nutrition from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA and her Holistic Health Counseling certification through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York City. While at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, she also received a certificate in Integrative Nutrition through Columbia University Teacher’s College. Studying under such leaders as Andrew Weil, Walter Willett, Deepak Chopra, Geneen Roth and Barry Sears deepened her knowledge in dietary theories and treating the whole person. An appreciation of the importance of whole, unrefined foods and the necessity of incorporating these into the hectic American lifestyle is of utmost importance to her.

Despite early successes in her career, Aimee began to notice that the average person coming to see her was increasingly ill, despite having the same average demographics over the entire decade. Witnessing this increasing complexity of disease at younger ages drove her back to school to get her Master’s degree in Nutrition and Functional Medicine from University of Western States, which she completed in 2018. Now Aimee integrates aspects of functional medicine testing to help her and her clients better understand how to address the root causes of bodily imbalances and to fine tune nutrition and supplementation to bring vibrancy back to her clients and allow them to “age backwards”, feeling younger when they leave than when they began.
Aimee created VIBRANCE Nutrition and Fitness in 2004 to bring health, vitality, and happiness to those seeking seeking changes in their current lifestyle. She utilizes her skills as a coach and practitioner to work closely with her clients and find unique methods that work for the individual, no matter where they are at on their eating and exercise spectrum.

She believes choice coupled with a beautifully integrated mind-body-spirit approach can offer a unique and transformative path to wellness.

Jan always had been a fresh foods aficionado, but became seriously interested in how food (and stress) impacts health, particularly immune function, after becoming ill with several autoimmune diseases. She found a functional medicine provider who listened, believed in her, and was supportive of her healing process. Illness has been an ongoing adventure full of unexpected opportunity! The functional medicine model resonates with her because is client-centered and considers how all of one’s experiences, beliefs, and even genetics contribute to one’s health. This is incredibly hopeful and empowering because we can make new choices that promote wellness.
